AMELIA BAFFA, RN

Amelia Baffa is a registered nurse and currently serves as a Senior Consultant for Strategic Healthcare Group LLC. Ms.Baffa has over 20 years of nursing clinical experience in hematology oncology, surgical intensive care, and trauma. For the past seven years Ms. Baffa has focused her attention on blood management program development and created models of patient care delivery within the University Hospitals Case Medical Center ( UHCMC) system and in the Cleveland Clinic Western Market Division, both members of the University Healthcare Consortium. She has worked with diverse patient populations to improve blood management practices and is a recognized expert in pediatric and neonatal blood management from a clinical and educational standpoint. She currently serves as team lead on several quality based and clinical improvement initiatives at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio and she is the chairperson for the annual Pediatric Blood Management Conference series. She is also a member of the Society for the Advancement of Blood Management and serves on the education and blood awareness committees. Ms. Baffa is a nationally recognized pediatric blood management expert and speaker. Her primary interest is promoting sustainable change within healthcare organizations through education and training.
